Duration of study:
– 1 year for graduates of the Bachelor’s degree in sound engineering, full-time study.
– 2 years for graduates of a Bachelor’s degree in another specialty, full-time study
60 credits required for each year.
At the decision of the department in which the student studies his special subject, he may be awarded an additional 2 credits per year for independent and prestigious professional performances.
Admission: The conditions for admission to the specialty are published in the Master’s candidate directories for the relevant academic year, available on the NMA website.
One year training – Disciplines studied:
–compulsory: sound engineering, instrument spaces, audio post-production, media post-production;
– electives: sound recording production, television production, radio production, film production, media composition;
– optional: music and media management, sound and sound systems, art history, foreign language I and II, sports.
Two years of training – Disciplines studied:
– compulsory: sound engineering, musical acoustics, audio post-production, sound recording practice, media practice (radio), media practice (television);
– electives: music and media management, media post-production, sound engineering, media composition, sound systems, MIDI, sound synthesis;
–optional: foreign language I and II, sport, music psychology, music aesthetics.
Method of graduation: Master’s thesis defense.
Opportunities for professional realization:
– to direct the sound material during musical performances and interpret musical-artistic communication processes by means of managing sound technical means; to train staff in the field of sound engineering; to conduct research work in the field of music direction and sound technology;
– to conduct and implement music recordings, broadcasts, montages and layouts.
Work in information media, professional formations, collectives and ensembles; in music education institutes; in recording and other studios; in the production of CDs, DVD, etc., in departmental, etc. radio stations and music studios; in editorial offices – in the positions of sound engineer, music designer, sound engineer, sound operator, studio manager, specialist, methodologist, editor.
