Duration of study: 5 academic years, full-time study
300 credits required (60 for each year of full-time study). They are recruited from compulsory (70%), optional (20%) and optional (10%) disciplines.
At the discretion of the department in which the student is studying his special subject, he may be awarded up to 10 additional credits for the period of study for outstanding performances in the field of musical art and science.

– compulsory: orchestra conducting from score, orchestra conducting, solfege, harmony, history of music, musical folklore, piano, instrumental knowledge, foreign language, polyphony, symphonic orchestration, reading scores, musical analysis, musical aesthetics, history of Bulgarian music;
– electives: pedagogy, philosophy, course choir, choir conducting from score, choral studies, music psychology, vocal training and choral difficulties, composition, organ, pedagogical psychology, brass orchestration, choral repertoire and literature, critical analysis of concert performances, musical acoustics, old Bulgarian music, music management, church music, piano teaching methodology, history of jazz, improvisation, piano II, opera dramaturgy, ethics, musical philosophy;
– optional: intellectual property and copyright, introduction to specialized music software, foreign language I and II, sports, history of art.
Method of graduation: graduation concert and master’s thesis defense.
