Study period: 2 academic years, full-time study
120 credits (60 for each year) are required to obtain a Master’s degree. They are recruited from compulsory (70%), optional (20%) and optional (10%) disciplines.
At the decision of the Department of Music and Performing Arts, the student may be awarded an additional 2 credits per year for bright and prestigious performances – concerts or awards from national and international competitions, etc.
Admission: The conditions for admission to the specialty are published in the Master’s candidate directories for the relevant academic year, available on the NAM website.
Disciplines studied:
– compulsory: the art of the ballet master, repertoire, musical theater direction, television direction, scenography and costume, musical dramaturgy, dance composition, analysis of the ballet form;
– electives: team work, stage fate of ballet masterpieces, art history, semiotics;
– optional: Italian language, German language, English language, Russian language, French language, sports.
Method of graduation: graduation performance and Master’s thesis defense.
Opportunities for professional realization:
– create choreographic productions – ballet performances; solo, duet and ensemble original dances to various music works; dancing in operas, operettas, musicals, drama and television productions; process original folk dances,
– train personnel in the field of dance art; teach dance art to performers and stage choreographers, reading ballet piano and score.
– carry out research work in the field of dance art;
– lead organizationally and methodically ballet collectives.
