Duration of study:
– 2 academic years, full-time study, for students with a Bachelor’s degree
120 credits (60 for each year of full-time study) are required to obtain a Master’s degree. They are recruited from compulsory (70%), optional (20%) and optional (10%) disciplines.
Admission: The conditions for admission to the specialty are published in the Master’s candidate directories for the relevant academic year, available on the NAM website.
Disciplines studied:
– compulsory: special subject – organ, chamber music, polyphony, generalbass, history of art, pedagogy;
– optional: instrumental knowledge, music psychology, chamber music methodology, philosophy of music, music management, music aesthetics, composition, improvisation, historical dances, church music, history of Bulgarian music, school choir, choral studies, implementation of research projects;
Method of graduation: state exam and Master’s thesis defense.
Opportunities for professional realization:
– to perform as soloists, chamber musicians, accompanists, members of various orchestra formations;
– to train personnel in the field of Organ and chamber music in Higher education institutions, secondary schools, music school for children, music high schools etc.;
– to conduct research work in the field of instrumental and performing arts;
– lead various instrumental amateur and professional ensembles;
– to perform all types of activities requiring a Higher musical education
