Duration of study: 2 academic years, full-time study
120 credits (60 for each academic year) of compulsory (70%), elective (20%) and optional (10%) disciplines are required to obtain a Master’s degree.
Admission: The conditions for admission to the specialty are published in the Master’s candidate directories for the relevant academic year, available on the NMA website.
Disciplines studied:
– compulsory: history of the music business; performing arts – status, funding, genres; legal norms and practices in the music business; production, organization of festivals and competitions; copyright and related rights in music; building an artistic career; music in electronic media; PR, advertising and marketing; practicums;
–electives: musical styles and genres; music criticism; music and new technologies; sources of funding; implementation of a research project; Bulgarian musical folklore and modernity; methodology of musical educational activity;
– optional: foreign language, sport.
Method of graduation: Master’s thesis defense.
