S. Bach  and Musical Form of the Text"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the history of music, the Venetian School is considered as the birthplace of the polychoral style. This style of polyphonic composition has an important stylistic development, which leads to concrete forms of Baroque free form polyphony. The compositional techniques characteristic of the Venetian polychoral style can also be found in a multitude of Baroque compositions, as for example the double-choir motets of J. S. Bach. The heteronomy in the process of setting the music and the text of Bach&#8217;s motets intertwines with the main compositional approaches of the Venetian polychoral style, which has a priori an inherently dualistic basis.
