The Almanac of NAM \u201cProf. Pancho Vladigerov\u201d<\/strong>, created in 2009, is Academy’s annual scientific journal, publishing articles in the field of musicology, music and dance. The Almanac founder is Prof. Tomi Karklisiyski, Sc.D. This journal is the successor of the Bulgarian State Conservatory Yearbook, published in the period 1960 \u2013 1984.<\/p>\n

Authors published are NMA and other higher education institution lecturers, domestic and international, also doctoral and postdoctoral scholars.<\/p>\n

Bulgarian music and musicology representatives are an important aspect of this journal\u2019s academic focus. An enclosed section is devoted to them, researching their music and music-scientific art.<\/p>\n

Having in mind NMA\u2019s music performance emphasize, the Almanac devotes special attention to performance \u2013 a topic that is not of such high priority in other national academic journals.<\/p>\n

Born in Orl\u00e9ans, France. Studied organ under Jacques Laboureur, principal organist of the Orl\u00e9ans Cathedral, as well as piano, chamber music, and solf\u00e8ge at the Orl\u00e9ans Conservatoire. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique in Paris, where she won several prizes, studying analysis with Jacques Caster\u00e8de, harmony with Alain Bernaud, counterpoint with Jean-Claude Henry, and fugue with Edith Lejet. While at the Paris Conservatoire, she also attended the Sorbonne, studying music pedagogy, musicology, and piano with Dominique Kyung-Ae Kim.\nIn 1992, she was admitted to the University of Music and Performance Arts in Vienna, where she studied organ with Alfred Mitterhofer, harpsichord with Augusta Campagne, and choir conducting with Erwin Ortner. There, she received diplomas in sacred music (1995) and organ performance (1996) and since 1995, has taught general musicianship courses such as ear training, listening analysis, and intonation training in the university\u2019s department of Composition and Electroacoustics.\n<\/p>\t <\/div>\n\t \n\t \t<\/div>\n\t\n \n<\/div>\n\t <\/div>\n\t \t<\/div>\n\t\t

  1. The Article must be a research one, not a review.<\/li>\n
  2. It must not be published, or pending publishing elsewhere.<\/li>\n
  3. The title must specify a researched issue, not only mention a research topic.<\/li>\n
  4. Volume should be not more than 30 standard pages (one page =1800 symbols), Font: Times New Roman 14, line spacing: 1,5.<\/li>\n
  5. Bibliography must include only references used in the article, listed alphabetically by the author\u2019s last name (Cyrillic names first, then Latin). Publishing year is to be in parenthesis after the author\u2019s name. In case of multiple publications by the same author in same year, an \u201ca, b, c\u201d is to be added, listing all publications.<\/li>\n
  6. Cyrillic titles cited in the bibliography must also be given in a transliterated version in Latin script, in brackets, immediately following the Cyrillic title. Sites for automatic transliteration may be used, with a mandatory proofreading afterwards: https:\/\/2cyr.com\/<\/a> (from Bulgarian and Russian), http:\/\/www.lexilogos.com\/keyboard\/serbian_conversion.htm<\/a> (from Serbian) and http:\/\/gr.translit.cc\/<\/a> (from Greek). It is preferable that the author\u2019s name be given according to their Latin script spelling in the original edition. When referencing a translation, the original author and article name are to be included, next to the transliterated ones, inside the brackets.<\/li>\n
  7. Electronic sources are to be included in the bibliography, sorted by the author\u2019s last name. If no name is present, these sources are to be listed at the end of citation. If a book is listed by an internet source, all available data is to be given according to standard. When citing a link, last visiting date must be given. When listing continuously updated (dynamic) electronic sources, authorship reference is given according to standard (or info about the lack of such).<\/li>\n
  8. Bibliography is to be at the end of the article. In case of mentioning in the text, the author\u2019s last name, year of publishing, and page of the quote are to be written in brackets. If there is more than one publication by an author in a year, an a, b, c,<\/em> are to be used.<\/li>\n
  9. The author\u2019s remarks, must be numbered in footnotes.<\/li>\n
  10. An English summary up to 900 symbols needs to be sent in a separate file. Bulgarian authors must also include a version in Bulgarian and for Russians in Russian. It must include up to six English keywords, listed at the end.<\/li>\n
  11. The author\u2019s name is to be put under the title (without academic degrees, etc.) at the beginning of the article. At the end of the article, the author\/s name\/s are to be listed, accompanied by their contact information, date of birth, academic degrees, positions, workplace, address, email, telephone, etc.<\/li>\n
  12. Music examples and illustrations are to be given in separate .jpeg or .tiff files, or in compressed format: .zip. Pictures and examples are to be scanned or exported in resolution: at least 300 dpi, and where the length must be no shorter than 20 cm. Images with lower resolution or smaller size would not be suitable for publication, even if efforts are made to do so by the Almanac.<\/li>\n
  13. When citing Ancient Greek\/Bysantian text, please use the following fonts: Palatino Linotype, Tms Gk Classic, Tms Gk Old, Tms Gk.<\/li>\n
  14. In order to be approved for publishing in the Alamanac of NAM \u201cProfessor Pancho Vladigerov\u201d, all materials must undergo an anonymous critical annotation by specialists that are part of the publishing committee, by established international criteria (see Ethical Evaluation). Articles may be approved, directed for editing or rejected. The Committee decision is final.<\/li>\n
  15. The authors of the articles accepted for publication in the Almanac pay the following fees:
    \n– BGN 120 for authors outside the NMA;
    \n– BGN 90 for lecturers at the AMA;
    \n– BGN 60 for students and doctoral students at the National Medical Academy.
