Period of study: 2 academic years, full time
A total of 120 credits per academic year is required to receive a Master’s degree, i.e. 60 credits for each year of study. They are accumulated from the compulsory (70%), elective (20%) and optional (10%) subjects.
Courses of study:
Compulsory: Art of the ballet master; Repertoire; Musical theatre directing; TV directing; Scenography and costume
Elective: Dance composition; Ballet form analysis; Teamwork; Styles and trends in dancing; Musical dramaturgy
Optional: Italian; German; English; Russian; French; Sports.
Professional qualifications of the graduates:
– To create choreographic productions – staging of ballet; solo, duet and ensemble dances on various copyright compositions; dances in opera, operetta, musical theatre, dramatic and television productions; to arrange and adapt authorized folk music;
– To train staff in the field of dance art; to teach dance art, reading of piano music for ballet and score reading to performers and choreographers;
– To do research work in the sphere of dance art;
– To work in the organizational and methodological management of ballet companies.
Career opportunities: in ballet companies, opera, operetta and dramatic theaters; to take positions of ballet master-producer, ballet coach, ballet pedagogue, ballet teacher in all kinds of cultural centers and organizations.
