Period of study: 5 academic years, part-time.
A total of 240 credits is required to receive a Bachelor’s degree, i.e. 60 credits for each year of study. They are accumulated from the compulsory (70%), elective (20%) and optional (10%) subjects.

Compulsory: Methods of teaching classical dance; Composition and movement analysis; Historical dances; Character dances; Anatomy in ballet; Theory of musical elements; Child psychology; Modern techniques; Repertoire; Musical analysis; Pedagogy; History of Bulgarian ballet; Musical and dance aesthetics, Teaching apprenticeship in ballet pedagogy; History of ballet
Elective: History of Music; History of art; History of modern ballet; Basics of musical theatre directing; Study of styles; Musical dramaturgy; Ballet masterpieces on the stage; Ethics; Music therapy; Philosophy of music
Optional: Foreign languages – 1 and 2; Sports.
Professional qualifications of the graduates:
– To teach at professional secondary ballet schools, at higher education institutes with Music and dance departments; to train ballet staff; to work in the organizational and methodological management of dance life in the country; to do research work in the spheres of ballet pedagogy and methodology of dance-theoretical subjects; to direct ballet companies; to manage and teach at all kind of ballet centers and companies.
Career opportunities:
– To teach at professional ballet schools; higher education institutes with Music and dance departments and schools providing education in choreographic disciplines – classical dance, methods of teaching classical dance, historical dances, character dances, modern ballet and jazz ballet, history of ballet, ballet history, composition of classical dance, repertoire;
